The Power of the Stache

The guys over at MetsBlog have noticed an interesting trend involving Jose Velentin and his mustache:

Valentin has not played for the Mets in the regular season since July 20 of last season.

Prior to his injury, the Mets played eight games over .500, while playing just two games over .500 after the injury.

Similarly, Reyes hit .304 with Valentin by his side, but hit just .248 after his injury.

Don't want to say "I told you so," but if you're one of the 2.5 people that read this blog, you'll know that we've been singing the Pink Panther's praises for quite a while now.
